da Vinci® Surgery for Colorectal Cancer
The colon and rectum are part of the large intestine. The intestine is an organ that is part of the digestive system (also called the digestive tract). The digestive system is the group of organs that allows us to eat and to use the food we eat to fuel our bodies.
If your colon or rectum is not functioning properly, you may experience problems such as bloating, gas, pain or bleeding. That discomfort may not be a sign of a serious health problem but you should be aware of the conditions and diseases that can affect the digestive tract, such as:
